The verb goes to the end
Subordinating conjunctions such as weil, dass, wenn, obwohl, damit and ob send the conjugated verb to the end of the clause: Ich bleibe zu Hause, weil ich krank bin. When the subordinate clause comes first, the main clause then begins with its own verb: Weil ich krank war, bin ich zu Hause geblieben.
